Accessibility
PCP Maker, operated by AavionD LLC
Last updated: June 26, 2026
PCP Maker is built for facilitators, families, and individuals with a wide range of access needs. We believe a Person-Centered Plan tool that isn't accessible to the person the plan is about, or to a family member supporting them, has failed its job. This page describes where we are today, what we test, and how to reach us if something is in your way.
Our commitment
We target conformance with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level AA for the public marketing pages, account flows, editor, and wizard. We don't claim 100% compliance — accessibility is an ongoing practice — but we do test, we do fix what we find, and we welcome reports about what we've missed.
What we test today
- Color contrast — automated test suite checks that primary text, links, buttons, and form labels meet WCAG AA contrast ratios in both light and dark mode.
- Keyboard navigation — every interactive control is reachable with Tab and operable with Enter / Space.
- Focus visibility — focus rings remain visible on every interactive element.
- Dark mode — a full dark-mode pass for users sensitive to bright backgrounds. Toggle in the top-right user menu.
- Form labels — every input has an associated label, with placeholders used only as supplemental hints.
- Reduced motion — the few animations we use (fade-in cards, smooth scroll) respect
prefers-reduced-motion.
Known gaps
These are areas we know we want to improve. Tracked in our internal backlog; if any of them block you today, please contact us — we'll prioritize.
- Screen-reader announcements for live updates in the editor (when a wizard selection mutates the editor pane) are not yet ARIA-live-aware.
- The print-preview drag-and-drop schedule grid is not fully keyboard-driven yet.
- Some icon-only buttons in the goal Resources card rely on
titletooltips rather than explicit ARIA labels.
Tell us where we fell short
If you encounter a barrier in any part of PCP Maker, please let us know. Include the page or feature, what assistive technology you were using, and what happened. We aim to respond within one business day.
